12/05/08 Tigress Productions have used some of our cameras on the GardenWatch feature on the BBC’s One Show to be screened during the week of the 26th May. The all weather properties and Infra Red sensitivity of the cameras is ideal for nocturnal nature observation and we look forward to seeing the results.

1/05/08 The Creetown Peregrines have moved yet again but this year but thank fully it is right in front of one of the camera positions we have installed. We atre looking to get some excellent footage this year. It is not online yet but can be seen at the Creetown heritage museum.

26/04/08 The Arran Hen Harriers are going to be viewed in megapixel resolution this year with a system we will be installing with assistance from the RSPB and Forestry Commision viewing at Kilmory Hall and online now in the webcams section. The cameras have yet to placed in their final location and are currently overlooking some of Arran’s fine heather moorland.

01/04/08 East Ayrshire Council have contracted Outersight to install a wildlife observation system in Dean Castle Country Park. 8 cameras will be installed in the park and viewed at two centres in the park as well as online. Look out for some excellent badger watching. weblinks coming soon.

28/03/08 The Scottish Seabird Centre have contracted Outersight to upgrade the Isle of May cameras and Microwave links. When installed this will provide a 64Mbps link to the island allowing for top quality images to be transmitted from the island from several cameras.

01/09/07 We have moved! not far though. As of September we have moved next door to a unit twice the size of our former premises. The extra space allows us to enlarge our build and test facility and also to house our Specialist video equipment hire stock. The new address is in the Contacts section.

23/07/07 We are near completion of the Camera installation On the Island of Skomer in Wales for the Wildlife Trust for South and West Wales. During testing of the burrow cameras we recorded some footage of a Manx Shearwater Chick being fed. To see it click here

27/05/07 We recently provided technical support to the RSPB on Arran to install a camera system on a Hen Harrier nest. The good news is that the camera is working and providing live images at Kilmory village hall and that the 2 of the 5 eggs have hatched with the others expected in the near future.

15/05/07 The Peregrines at Creetown have laid again this year although the nest has moved again and is just (by a matter of centimetres) out of view from the camera.

04/04/07 Outersight has won the contract to install a 4 camera remote observation system on the Island of Craigleith for the Scottish Seabird Centre. This is to monitor the Puffin and Cormorant numbers on the Island after the partial removal of the invasive Tree Mallow which restricted the suitable puffin habitat. More soon.

21/05/06 We have just finished installing one of our camera systems on a peregrine nest near Creetown in the Southwest of Scotland. Over 3KM of Fibre and 1.4 KM Low Voltage power cable was needed to reach the remote site. The live images can be viewed at the Creetown Heritage Museum.

27/04/06 20/20 Productions, one of the UK’s leading face to face communications companies, has chosen Outersight’s remote control camera system to relay live images of presenters to a big screen at the Scottish Police Federation conference in Peebles. The system proved to be a great success.

12/04/06 Outersight has just completed a camera installation for the RSPB at The Wat Tyler Country Park near Basildon in Essex. This can be seen on the web at http://www.southendrspb.co.uk/serspbcam/webcam.htm The camera is located in the middle of a scrape and is viewed and controlled by visitors to the RSPB visitor centre.

08/03/06 We have just completed a camera at Community Wind Power’s windfarm above Dalry in the West of Scotland. The camera will be used for educational purposes and to monitor the wildlife populations that will thrive at the feet of the UK’s largest wind turbines.

05/03/06 Outersight have been awarded the contract to install a Peregrine camera for The Creetown Heritage Museum. This will be a fibre optic based system bringing broadcast quality footage back to the Museum where it can be seen on a big screen.
